Sound Familiar?

Most WooCommerce problems were built in, not grown into.

Three things we find on almost every site we are asked to rescue.

It is slow, and it is the hosting

Shared hosting with no object cache and no CDN will make any store slow, no matter how many optimisation plugins get stacked on top. The plugins usually make it worse. Fixing the foundation costs less than fixing the symptoms repeatedly.

Fifty plugins doing thirty jobs

Every feature request was solved by installing something, nothing was ever removed, and now several plugins overlap, conflict, and load scripts on every page. Autoloaded options quietly balloon and the admin slows to a crawl.

No staging, no backups, no updates

Updates get postponed because the last one broke something, so the site drifts further out of date and further from safe. WordPress shipped critical security fixes as recently as this month — an unpatched store is not a hypothetical risk.

How Onboarding Works

You’ll know exactly what happens next.

No vague discovery phase. Here is how a WordPress project runs, step by step.

Week 1

Audit & Scope

We look at the site and the server before proposing anything.

  • Full site, plugin and hosting audit
  • Admin and hosting access granted by you
  • Scope and fixed price agreed
  • Staging environment created
Weeks 2–6

Build & Test

Everything happens on staging until you have signed it off.

  • Work built on staging
  • Reviewed with you as it goes
  • Performance and security tested
  • Backup and rollback plan prepared
Launch & After

Go Live & Maintain

Launch is planned, not hopeful.

  • Deployment at an agreed time
  • Checkout and payments verified live
  • Documentation handed over
  • Care plan if you want us to stay

Fit

Is this right for you?

We'd rather tell you now than three months in.

A good fit if…

  • You want to own your platform rather than rent it
  • You need functionality a hosted platform will not let you build
  • You are on shared hosting and cannot work out why the site is slow
  • You have inherited a site nobody has updated in a long time
  • You want one team for the build and the maintenance afterwards

Probably not if…

  • You want a platform where hosting and security are somebody else’s problem entirely
  • You are unwilling to budget for decent hosting
  • You need the site live next week with no scope discussion
  • You want the cheapest possible build with no maintenance afterwards
  • You expect us to work on a site built with nulled or pirated plugins

WordPress FAQ

Common questions

What access do you need?

A dedicated administrator account in your own name for us — never your login shared — plus hosting or SFTP access for anything at server level. Payment gateways have their own team invitations, which you issue separately. Everything is removed at the end of the engagement.

Is WooCommerce actually free?

The plugin is. Everything around it is not: hosting, a premium theme if you use one, paid extensions and payment processing all cost money and all go directly to those providers rather than to us. For a mid-sized store, budget somewhere in the hundreds per year on software and hosting, plus card fees. Our fees are separate and we will not mark those up.

Should I be on WooCommerce or Shopify?

It depends on what you need to control. WooCommerce wins when you want to own the platform, need unusual functionality, or want to avoid platform transaction fees. Shopify wins when you would rather not think about hosting, updates or security at all. We build both, so we have no reason to push you either way.

What is HPOS and do I need to worry about it?

It is WooCommerce’s modern order storage — orders live in dedicated tables rather than the general WordPress content tables, which makes a large store noticeably faster. It is the default for new installs but does not turn itself on when you upgrade, so plenty of older stores are still on legacy storage or stuck syncing both. There is no announced deadline, so this is a performance and compatibility job rather than an urgent one.

Can you work with my existing developer or host?

Yes, and often that is the sensible arrangement. We will document what we change and hand it over rather than making you dependent on us.

My site has been hacked — how fast can you start?

Cleanup starts the same day. The important part is not just removing the malware but finding how it got in, because a site cleaned without closing the entry point gets reinfected within weeks.

Do you use page builders?

Only where a site already relies on one. For new builds we use block themes and the native editor, because they are faster, they are what WordPress is being built around, and they do not lock your content into one vendor’s markup.

Am I tied into a contract?

No. Projects are fixed scope and fixed price. The care plan runs month-to-month and can be cancelled with 30 days notice.

Tell us what you need.

Send us your catalogue and what you're trying to fix. We'll come back with a clear scope and a fixed price — no drawn-out sales process.
